Supported living and residential care services
We like to think we offer something special and that Ivy League Care illustrates the difference between good care and great care. Our residential care homes have been designed to provide comfort, stimulation and safety. Combining cosiness and style with functionality and practicality, they offer the perfect home-from-home for residents to continue living a life of independence, freedom and choice.We believe that every person is special and unique. It follows that every person has slightly different needs.
At Ivy League Care all our residents have the freedom and flexibility to live the life they choose. Ivy League Care provides tailored individualized support for people living in their own home, either on their own or with others.
Our flexible support services range from 24 hour care to a few hours per week on a regular or ad hoc basis.
It’s all about you. Our personalised care plans are shaped around the needs of each individual we look after – everything from the meals you enjoy to the hobbies you love and your personal routines.
The support covers all aspects of daily living including:
- Household cleaning and maintenance
- Financial planning/budgeting and support to pay bills and claim benefits
- Social activities including maintaining existing friendships and making new ones
- Recreational and leisure activities
- Educational interests
- Volunteer and work related opportunities
- Management of tenancy
Personal care support in the home
Ivy League Care is committed to working with individuals and their families to find solutions that holistically meet their care needs, promote independence, develop skills and support people to reach their goals and aspirations.
Services can be provided from 1 hour per week to 24 hour care, 365 days a year on a regular or adhoc basis.
Our qualified and experienced assessors work with service users and those important to them to design tailored personal support plans that inform the staff team what support is required and how it should be provided. This ensures service users stay in control of the service they receive.
The range of domiciliary services offered includes:
- Assistance with personal care tasks, including bathing, showering, washing and toilet needs.
- Prompting, assisting or administering medication.
- Planning and preparation of meals, including assistance with eating and drinking.
- Complex healthcare tasks such as gastronomy feeding.
- Domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, gardening, ironing and shopping.
- Support to use local facilities, including shops, banks, post offices, libraries and appointments.
- Support through the night; either sleeping or waking.
- ‘Extra pair of hands’ service enabling families to choose flexibly what tasks the support worker undertakes to meet all the families’ needs.
Respite Care
Whether it’s covering a two week holiday, a short term break or wanting extra support following a period of illness, we’re there when you need us most. Ivy League Care offers non-residents exactly that – freedom from the risk of loneliness and isolation, and the opportunity to enjoy companionship and stimulating activities in a safe, friendly and happy, if you prefer, the person you’re looking after can have a change of scene, enjoy new experiences and mix with friendly people. You can relax safe in the knowledge that your loved one is enjoying professional 24-hour care in a safe and happy environment for anything up to six weeks.

Daycare Opportunities for adults with Learning Disabilities
Ivy League has worked closely with its Club members to develop a relevant, inclusive and affordable day care service.
The Clubs offer a range of both high-energy and relaxing social activities as well as educational, volunteering and work-related opportunities.
Day care is an ideal way of trying out an Ivy League home before taking up residence. Equally important, the knowledge that their loved one is happy and well cared for every day gives family members peace of mind.Everything we do is shaped around the needs of the people we look after, so you can be sure of an individual care plan tailor-made for you, and delicious, home-cooked food which takes your personal nutritional needs and preferences into account.
Dementia Care
Living with dementia doesn’t have to be a difficult, lonely experience. There are lots of ways of helping people to live a full and happy life. At Ivy League Care we like to think we offer something special. Our friendly team of compassionate carers offer real understanding, a dignified lifestyle within a dementia community and offering 24 hour care every day. Our unique training programme gives them in-depth knowledge of the different stages and types of dementia, coupled with insight into the experience of living with the condition and the complex nature of communication. Combined with their extensive experience, this ensures that our residents living with dementia receive the empathy, continuity and consistency that are so vital to their sustained well-being. Nor do you have to feel alone if your loved one has a diagnosis of dementia. Our expert team’s guidance and support will give you the reassurance and solace you require.
Activities
Our activities are intended to inspire and engage our residents as individuals and as a community. Our team arrange activities based around the needs and desires of our residents and are always on hand to assist, whatever the mobility level.
